Are you a passionate and proactive Biomedical Scientist ready to lead in a fast-evolving digital pathology environment?

Medica is seeking a dynamic Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our growing Pathology team at our state-of-the-art hub in Runcorn.

🔬 About the Role

As our Specilaist BMS, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality digital and glass telepathology services. You’ll manage a small but mighty team, drive operational excellence, and collaborate across departments to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:

  • Oversee lab operations including specimen reception, scanning, and quality control.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Digital Pathology Assistants.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards (15189, 27001, 9001).

  • Troubleshoot lab issues and manage client queries.

  • Contribute to exciting projects including AI integration and wet-lab expansion.
