Role overview

  • Position: Specialist / Consultant Endodontist
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Healthcare setting: Premium dental clinic / multispecialty dental center
  • Experience required: Minimum 3+ years post speciality qualification
  • Practice model: Outpatient clinical practice focused on endodontic procedures and restorative support

The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis and management of dental pulp and periapical conditions, delivering high-quality root canal treatments and advanced endodontic procedures.

Key responsibilities – endodontics

  • Diagnose and manage diseases of the dental pulp and periapical tissues
  • Perform root canal treatments (RCT) and retreatments with high precision and success rates
  • Conduct complex endodontic procedures, including management of calcified canals, curved roots, and previously treated teeth
  • Perform endodontic microsurgery (apicoectomy) where indicated
  • Utilise dental operating microscopes and digital radiography for accurate diagnosis and treatment
  • Manage dental trauma cases, including pulp injuries and root fractures
  • Collaborate with general dentists, prosthodontists, and oral surgeons for comprehensive treatment planning
  • Provide pain management and emergency dental care related to pulpal and periapical conditions
  • Ensure infection control and sterilisation protocols are strictly followed
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene, and preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records in line with regulatory standards
  • Participate in clinical audits and continuous professional development activities

Requirements

Qualifications & board recognition

Applications are welcome from dentists holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

  • UK Specialty Training / MEndo / equivalent
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Dental Council recognised specialist qualification
  • Arab Board / recognised regional qualifications
  • MDS / FCPS Endodontics or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA / DOH / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided where applicable.
