Specialist, Drilling (Cementing III)
Job purpose
Coordinates and oversees cementing service line work at the well site, providing quality service to the customer. Execute and perform all kinds of jobs with assigned equipment, safely and efficiently. Provides the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used, including dispute resolutions to approved levels. Provides service delivery with flawless service quality and no HSE incidents in accordance with company policies, standards, and procedures. Ensures customer satisfaction with work performed.
Job specific accountabilities (part 1)
- Under minimum supervision, coordinates and directs the activities of service operators and entire crew during the job.
- Performs the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
- Performs all necessary calculations for the total job at the well site as needed.
- Leads the site crew on location comprised of company employees and third-party contractors.
- Ensures that the correct people, equipment, and materials arrive on time on location, and are rigged up, tested, and ready to perform the job, as requested by client, with no deviations from contingency plans in place, including dispute resolutions to approved levels.
- Communicates with supervisor to confirm all job resources are provided as per contract requirements.
- Reviews job program with technical engineer and coordinator to fully understand job requirements, risk assessment, contingencies, troubleshooting, and highlight execution best practices for job procedures prior and post each job.
- Completes and generates all required job-related reports.
- Operates all types and models of cementing unit, troubleshoots any issue with minimal supervision, and can mix on fly, performs redress to all types of valves, HP iron, C-pump, and fluid end packing.
- Operates and maintains different types of DHT, attends and develops training to ensure full competency to run DHT including but not limited to retrievable packers, bridge plugs, and cement retainers.
- Responsible for representative appearance and functionality of all equipment on rig site, ensuring all equipment, certifications, and contract requirements are met prior to job execution.
- Responsible for performing the PM schedule for equipment, ensuring certifications and contract requirements are met prior to job execution.
- Performs equipment maintenance and any operational activity needed for cementing equipment as required by company either on rig site or company designated premises or as instructed.

- High school diploma (or equivalent).
Minimum experience & knowledge & skills
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Computer awareness in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel programmes.
- Good written and spoken English.
