Specialist - Media Operations Management
Main Duties: Media Archiving & Asset Management
- Catalog, index, and archive video footage, photographs, and other digital media assets in the organization’s media asset management system.
- Ensure all archived materials are properly tagged, categorized, and stored according to established metadata and archival standards.
- Maintain the integrity and accessibility of the digital media archive to support newsroom and editorial needs.
- Provide timely retrieval of archived materials requested by journalists, producers, editors, and digital teams.
- Assist editorial teams in locating relevant footage, images, and historical materials to support news coverage, reports, and feature stories.
- Support urgent newsroom requests during live coverage and breaking news situations.
- Coordinate with editorial, production, and digital teams to ensure proper ingestion and documentation of newly produced media assets.
- Monitor media workflows to ensure accurate archiving and compliance with internal media management procedures.
- Assist in maintaining efficient operational processes within the Library & Media department.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of archived materials and associated metadata.
- Verify usage rights, licensing information, and source attribution where applicable.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies related to content management, copyright, and media usage.
- Support the operation and optimization of the organization’s Media Asset Management (MAM) or Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Assist in updating and improving archival systems, processes, and workflows to enhance accessibility and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to periodic audits and reviews of archived media content.
