This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Specialty Care Representative based in Australia.

This is a full-time, permanent field-based role focused on specialty pharmaceutical sales across Western Australia.
You will engage with healthcare professionals across Allergy and Respiratory, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology.
The role combines relationship management, clinical product education, territory development, and commercial execution.
You will build trusted relationships with prescribers, allied health professionals, key opinion leaders, and healthcare accounts.
Success will involve achieving sales targets while delivering consistent territory coverage, call activity, and business development.
You will also maintain accurate CRM records and identify opportunities to maximize the potential of each account.
The position suits a commercially driven healthcare professional who can communicate confidently, influence stakeholders, and operate effectively within the Australian pharmaceutical market.

Accountabilities

  • Engage with healthcare professionals across Allergy and Respiratory, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology specialties, as well as allied health professionals.

  • Educate, inform, and support prescribers and allied health professionals regarding relevant products and their appropriate use.

  • Conduct regular sales calls across the assigned Western Australia territory in line with territory plans and commercial objectives.

  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders, prescribers, allied health professionals, and individual healthcare accounts.

  • Identify and optimize commercial opportunities within each account and territory.

  • Achieve agreed reach and frequency call objectives while contributing to business development activities.

  • Deliver budgeted sales revenue and support overall territory performance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information across all relevant areas of the Veeva CRM system.

  • Use effective communication, persuasion, negotiation, and influencing skills to support customer engagement and commercial outcomes.

  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Pharmacy, Science, Nursing, or a related discipline.

    • Demonstrated track record of successful pharmaceutical or healthcare sales performance.

    • Previous experience as a Hospital Sales Representative is required.

    • High-performing GP representatives with at least five years of experience and specialty-care sales included in their development plans may also be considered.

    • Experience in Allergy and Respiratory, Cardiology, and/or Gastroenterology is desirable.

    • Previous experience within the Australian pharmaceutical industry is required.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently persuade, negotiate, and influence healthcare stakeholders.

    • Commercial mindset with strong territory management, relationship-building, and business development capabilities.

    • Ability to work toward sales, reach, frequency, and revenue objectives.

    • Must be eligible to work in Australia as an Australian citizen or appropriate visa holder.
