Specification Manager

We are representing a leading engineering and construction company, specializing in structural steel works to seek for a Specification Manager to join the team.

Responsibility:

• Reporting to Head of Marketing and Sales
• Engage architects, consultants, developers, contractors, relevant authorities at concept &/or design stages to have product specified or approved, etc.
• Track project pipelines to ensure timely conversion of specifications toward projects being secured
• Maintain accurate reporting on project status, market activities, new opportunities, etc.
• Support marketing and sales objectives through seminars, advertisements, trade fairs and other marketing initiatives to promote branding
• Perform market research for expansion opportunities, plans, implementation of strategies
• Support R&D department to advise on market needs and trends, targeting strategic product innovation and invention; aid establishment of pricing strategies
• Identify marketing opportunities / requirements; evaluate competitor's share, competitor's strengths and weaknesses; develop strategies to counter and create a benchmark for product/system
• Meet specification work targets of projects assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering related to Structural / Building / Construction / Architecture or related discipline
• Relevant experience in product/system specification work within the construction industry
• Good understanding of construction practices and/or design compliances in South East Asia
• Good and wide network of relations with architects / consultants
• Strong presentation, engagement and communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
• Bi-lingual shall be an advantage
• Willing to travel
• Possess own vehicle
