Spectrum Policy and Standards Manager

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive Sennheiser’s spectrum policy and standardization strategy across Asia.
  • Represent Sennheiser at senior level in regional and global regulatory and standardization bodies (e.g. APT, ITU-R, ETSI, IEEE, 3GPP), as well as in key industry and user associations.
  • Shape regulatory frameworks and standards to secure and expand long-term market access for professional wireless audio solutions.
  • Define and execute regional strategies for spectrum access, coexistence, and protection across applications such as wireless microphones, in-ear monitoring, conferencing, assistive listening, and consumer audio technologies.
  • Build, manage, and leverage strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders across Asia.
  • Initiate and lead technical and regulatory studies; contribute actively to international standardization and specification processes.
  • Track and anticipate regulatory and technology trends, translating them into risks, opportunities, and strategic actions (e.g. WMAS, DECT NR+, emerging spectrum bands).
  • Partner closely with global R&D, product management, and business development to align spectrum strategy with innovation and market priorities.
  • Lead industry engagement initiatives, including conferences, workshops, and policy dialogues, to position Sennheiser as a trusted thought leader in spectrum and wireless audio.

Your profile:

  • Degree in telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in wireless communications, spectrum management, or regulatory/standardization environments.
  • Proven experience engaging with regulatory authorities, international organizations, and industry associations, ideally within Asia/APAC.
  • Strong regional network or a demonstrated ability to build and influence one effectively.
  • Track record in developing and executing strategies at the intersection of technology, regulation, and market development.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of policy, audio, RF, networking, and information technologies.
  • Fluent English; additional Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin) are a plus.
  • High intercultural competence and willingness to travel internationally.
