Speech Language Pathologist Acute

- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, feeding, and swallowing evaluations for complex acute care and neonatal ICU (NICU) patients.
- Design and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to fragile pediatric and adult clinical populations.
- Partner closely with interdisciplinary care teams—including physicians, nurses, and dietitians—to coordinate care plans and safe discharge strategies.
- Part time schedule 20 hours. Typical days will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, with annual holiday requirement and 1 weekend shift monthly.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
Additional Preferences:
- CFY is not offered.
- 2 years NICU experience.
- Adult acute care experience.
