Speech Language Pathologist

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintains prescriptions and maintenance of augmentative speech aids and peripheral equipment
  • Assists in planning and coordinating in-service training for employees, parents and others in various phases of speech/language therapy program
  • Participates in staff conferences to evaluate, advise and plan proper methods of treatment for children
  • Assists in overseeing the comprehensive management of student records, with regard to status and treatment procedures
  • Reviews and checks all written work for accuracy and appropriateness
  • Performs all of work-related tasks of speech/language pathologist, such as diagnostics, therapeutic services and maintenance of comprehensive records
  • Positions and transfers students as needed
  • Plans, assigns and assists with the clinical supervision of the speech departments
  • Stays current on principles, methods, materials and aides used in speech/language therapy
  • Generates and presents professional reports, diagnostics, and case summaries
