Summary
Provide speech pathology services to adult inpatients with swallowing and communication disorders in a hospital setting, working casually with weekend options.
An exciting opportunity is available for enthusiastic and motivated speech pathologists to join our team at Joondalup Health Campus on a casual basis. As a casual member of our team, you will be providing clinical backfill as required with the additional option to work weekend shifts.
About the Role
You will provide a quality speech pathology service to an adult inpatient population presenting with swallowing and communication disorders associated with a broad range of diagnoses. You will be part of a supportive team of professionals who are passionate about providing the best evidence-based care for our patients. You will be supported in your career development with a specialised mentoring and coaching program and have access to instrumental assessments (VFSS and FEES).
About You
Ensure you address each of the selection criteria listed below in your application – refer to the ‘Apply’ section:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology with eligibility for full practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Clinical skills and experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of adults presenting with swallow and communication deficits across a range of clinical areas.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programs including group programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex hospital environment.
- Excellent caseload and time management skills with proven ability to independently meet clinical and non-clinical role requirements.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in a complex clinical environment.
- Previous clinical experience with an adult caseload in a hospital environment is highly desirable.
