Speech Therapist (3264)

1. Basic knowledge of physical medicine, speech therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.
2. Treat patient in accordance with Speech Language Pathology Standard of Care and Practice.
3. Provides assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability disease. Provides residents with exercises related to speech language pathology.
4. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice.
5. Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff, physician and Director of Rehabilitation.
6. Responsible for the monitoring and documentation of resident treatment and response.
7. Assists with formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and assesses effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate, staff and physician areapprised of conclusions.
8. Meets current documentation standards and policies.
