POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring and providing excellent customer service and maintaining adequate stock inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Provides top quality service to every customer in line with Spoko Fuel policies and procedures.
2. Conducts sales transactions quickly and accurately.
3. Performs duties displayed on Spoko Fuel cleaning and daily task lists; stocks and merchandises as instructed by management.
4. Accomplishes shift changes by documenting unit inventory counts of tobacco products and cash register counts at the beginning and end of every shift.
5. Takes measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location.
6. Verifies identification and completes documents for all Tribal and Inter-Tribal discounts.
7. Establishes and maintains consistently high standards of customer care, customer relations, customer service, and vendor relations.
8. Establishes co-operative vendor relations and supply chain management.
9. Sorts and redeems customer coupons for reimbursement.
10. Manages product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid any damage or spoilage.
11. Trains and develops staff in daily operations of the convenience store and gas station, as well as on company policies, sales guidelines, portion control, and safe food handling practices.
12. Ensures employees follow company policies and store rules.
13. Coordinates with employees to operate the Deli store to achieve sales goals.
14. Ensures that products are properly labeled with prices and dates.
15. Interacts politely with clients while solving problems related to sales, dissatisfied service, and issues regarding store operation.
16. Operates machines and equipment safely and wears required safety equipment as necessary.
17. Receives, unloads, and stocks store items as needed.
18. Maintains facility in neat, clean, and safe manner in line with industry best practices.
19. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
20. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
21. Maintains awareness and sensitivity to Native American Culture.
22. Performs other duties as assigned.
