Spring Boot Microservices

Summary

Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices on AWS/Azure/GCP, using Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka, while integrating REST APIs and observability tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms:
  • AWS
  • Azure
  • GCP
  • Knowledge of Reactive Programming (Spring WebFlux).
  • Experience with distributed caching technologies (Redis, Hazelcast).
  • Exposure to observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable and resilient microservices-based architectures.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with external systems.
  • Implement security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17+.
  • Expertise in:
  • Spring Boot
  • Spring MVC
  • Spring Data JPA/Hibernate
  • Spring Security
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Strong experience in developing REST APIs.
  • Good knowledge of:
  • SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Experience with:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Git
  • Maven/Gradle
  • Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Load Balancing.
  • Hands-on experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
