SQL Database Administrator - 3688666 (Buffalo, NY)

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their SQL DBA position! This is an 18+ month contract with potential to convert and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead data cleanup and remediation efforts for an enterprise-wide risk management database transformation initiative
• Build and implement robust database structures to support a new cloud-based risk management data product
• Support the migration of on-premises SQL Server environments to Azure or Snowflake cloud platforms
• Design and develop large-scale application data schemas optimized for reporting and analytics purposes
• Execute database engineering tasks including data transformation, structure optimization, and quality assurance
• Implement slowly changing dimension methodologies to track trends and historical data changes
• Partner with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical database solutions

What You'll Need to Have:

• Proven experience with large-scale database transformation and migration projects
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server for data cleanup, transformation, and database development
• Solid understanding of data schema design and development for large applications and reporting systems
• Knowledge of both Azure and Snowflake cloud database platforms and migration strategies
• Demonstrated ability to work with slowly changing dimensions and temporal data structures
• Experience building and optimizing databases in complex, enterprise-scale environments
• Strong problem-solving skills for database remediation and structure improvement initiatives
• Alteryx experience is a significant plus for data transformation workflows

Pay Range: $65-70/hr
