SQL Developer - Glasgow/Edinburgh

Salary: £48,000 - 56,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven software development experience in a similar role
• Hands-on SQL expertise, including complex queries for reporting, processing, and investigations; data manipulation; performance tuning; and T-SQL stored procedures
• Experience developing reconciliation tools or working with reconciliation software
• SSRS, Power BI Report Builder, or other reporting skills
• Strong unit, end-to-end, and acceptance testing skills
• Ability to lead technical projects and work with people across disciplines
• Willingness to mentor colleagues and liaise with external representatives
• Strong solution configuration skills and experience leading technical projects are advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert in SQL-based reporting solution development and configuration
• Implement and test low-code solutions, and scope development and testing projects and timelines
• Translate requirements into designs and solutions that support business objectives
• Mentor and review team members work, provide sign-offs, validate releases, and coordinate with technical and other teams
• Design and configure reconciliation and business approval workflows
• Conduct end-to-end testing and support deployments
• Promote Agile working and best practices, contribute to stand-ups, and keep up with relevant technology and industry trends
• Support knowledge-sharing by mentoring less senior colleagues
