Position Summary
The Senior Accountant supports centralized, multi-entity accounting for a growing organization with capital equipment, custom manufacturing, service, distribution, and rentals.

This position will be primarily responsible for the capital side of the business, including assigned month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany activity, recurring schedules, operational reporting, job-costing review, CAM calculations, and accounting-system documentation. The role also provides payroll and
time-data support, including entering approved hours, validating variances, documenting exceptions, and responding to employee questions; payroll processing and final approval remain with the designated payroll owner.

The Senior Accountant will also provide backup support for distribution sales accounting and close activities when the distribution sales counterpart is unavailable or when competing deadlines require additional coverage. This is an individual contributor role with no initial direct reports and an opportunity to grow into broader accounting responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple entities, investigating discrepancies, following issues through resolution, and improving processes as ERP and payroll software workflows mature.

• Support system testing, troubleshooting, process documentation, and workflow improvements.
• Participate in cross-training to create reliable department backup coverage.
• Use ERP and HR-system data accurately and consistently.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is preferred; equivalent progressive accounting
experience will also be considered.
• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and account reconciliations.
