The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing accounting operations across multiple entities within Hocher Holdings’ portfolio of companies while supporting financial reporting, compliance, process improvement, and operational efficiency within the Shared Services environment. This role partners closely with leadership to strengthen scalable accounting processes, mentor accounting staff, and ensure accurate and timely financial operations in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Requirements

  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations across multiple entities within the Hocher Holdings portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically beyond day-to-day task execution and contribute to broader business objectives.

  • Ability to communicate confidently with executive leadership and engage in highlevel problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement discussions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff by providing guidance, training, and performance support to ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and allocations across affiliated entities.
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support external audits, tax preparation, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Support ERP optimization initiatives and help drive automation across accounting functions.
  • Review A/R and A/P aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal process controls.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operational leaders to support organizational financial objectives.
  • Assist with special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Experience working in multi-entity, shared services, or rapidly growing organizations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software (NetSuite experience highly preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aviation, hospitality, construction, or related industries is a plus.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
