Sr Advanced Project Engineer Networks and Cybersecurity (m/f/d)

We have an opportunity for a Sr Advanced Project Engineer Networks and Cybersecurity (m/f/d) to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be responsible for implementing engineering solutions and supervision, for OT Systems design and implementation, (incl. Network, Cyber Security and Virtualization), Process Control, Safety Instrumented Systems, Human Machine Interface, Hardware Design on industrial process automation projects.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

• The purpose of the role is to implement engineering solutions and supervision, for: OT Systems design and implementation, (incl. Network, Cyber Security and Virtualization), Process Control, Safety Instrumented Systems, Human Machine Interface, Hardware Design on industrial process automation projects in industries like: Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, etc.
• Produces and / or approves Functional and Detailed Design Specifications (FDS / DDS) and provides technical leadership, support and expertise for the project team.
• Monitors and controls technical project scope against the Project Execution Plan and Functional & Detailed Design Specifications, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities.
• Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements and shares technical knowledge back to Discipline Communities, the Engineering Excellence organization and the project team.
• Reports progress and technical problems and / or chanPAS to project manager.
• Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines.
• Works together with the Project Manager to follow the project budget, schedule and scope and deliver qualitative deliverables to the customer.
• Responsible for technical scope of assigned projects
• Travel to customer required at a yearly average of 30%; Flexibility is required

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor / Master of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Preferred specializations: Automation and Computers, Informatics, Mathematics, Cybernetics, Electronics, Electrical
• Strong English language skills
• 3-5 years project experience as Advanced Project Eng. in OT Network & Cyber Security
• Relevant site hands-on experience on System, DCS and / or SIS
• Experience with FEED, FDS, DDS.
• System engineering: Virtualization and Network Experience (minimum 1 project)
• Application engineering: DCS, PLC
• End to End LE Project Execution Experience (KOM, Planning, BOM validation, Procurement, Materials tracking, Change Orders, Technical Supervision, Customer Interfacing
• PAS Product certification (at least 2 discipline certifications recommended - Control, HMI, Safety, Hardware, Batch, System, Network, BESS) is a plus
• TUV Certification is a plus, LE Certification or equivalent (CAPM / PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus), OT Certifications or equivalent (is a plus, CISCO CCNA/CCNP, VMware, Nutanix or equivalent )
