Sr. API Automation Tester

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior API Automation Test Engineer with 7-10 years of hands-on experience in backend and API automation. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust API test automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of our microservices. The ideal candidate must possess strong coding abilities in Core Java, solid hands-on expertise in REST Assured, and the ability to seamlessly integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Framework Development: Design, build, and scale maintainable API automation frameworks from scratch using Core Java, REST Assured, TestNG, JUnit, and Maven.
• Test Strategy and Execution: Write clean, modular, and reusable automation code to test RESTful APIs, microservices, web services, and database layers.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) for nightly and deployment-triggered execution.
• Database Testing: Perform backend and database testing using SQL to validate data integrity, run complex queries, and verify end-to-end transaction flows.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and triage defects using tools like JIRA. Work closely with software developers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues fast.
• Technical Leadership: Conduct code reviews, establish API testing best practices, mentor junior QA engineers, and drive test automation strategy across teams.
