Sr Appl Developer Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

Design:

• Understands FM Global's business goals and develops solutions that are aligned with those goals. In conjunction with senior members of the team, designs software solutions and prepares technical specifications taking into consideration the Enterprise Architecture including authoritative sources of data, data integration and interrelationships across multiple subject areas (including transformation rules), and downstream data needs. Coaches other application development staff in understanding the design. Provides high quality documentation at appropriate level to allow for maintenance and extension of the application.

Development:

• Estimation: Provides accurate input for estimates and timeframes for requirements and tasks.

Coding:

• Successfully develops, tests, and implements business applications or components thereof that meet or exceed the expectations of FM Global's employees and customers. Participates on various sized business application development/enhancements solutions. This may be the complete effort on a small solution or for a portion of a larger solution. Understands and adheres to information technology principals, established methodologies, architectural standards, and guidelines to ensure the delivery of highquality, cost-effective, reliable, secure, and well-documented solutions and services. Analyzes impact of requirements outlined by solution owners and works with principal application developers and/or the solution architects on functional and technical solutions. Has developed a proficient level of technical expertise needed to provide support for systems of varying levels of complexity.

Test Automation:

• Responsible for writing pre-deployment automated tests for any delivered code. Participates in testing and debugging of overall system as required. Reviews automated test code to ensure appropriate test coverage. Makes decisions regarding where to focus and improve the efficiency, coverage, and stability of automated tests. Participates in coding and maintenance of post deployment test automation frameworks.

Support:

• Supports implementation of applications into production and postproduction. Identifies technical debt and works towards mitigating risks.

Skill and Experience:

• 3+ years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): Familiarity with current technologies used in the development of business applications and the techniques used to analyze and solve business problems. Experience determining and using the appropriate technological environments and the technologies, tools, and techniques used to solve business problems in current computing architectures. Proficient in development and implementation of business applications in current computing architectures. Proficient in relevant technologies for packaged systems and tools including database skills, query language, reporting, scripting languages, integration patterns, test automation patterns and DevOps patterns.

Must Have Skills:

The Senior Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Workday HCM solution that supports FMs HR operations and employees worldwide. This role includes building and supporting integrations, configuring Workday modules, developing custom reports, and ensuring overall system performance, reliability, and security. The Senior Application Developer partners closely with Workday Configuration Analysts and HR business stakeholders to understand and validate business requirements, translating those needs into effective, scalable Workday technical solutions. This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting integrations across the full HR technology ecosystem, includingbut not limited tokey third party cloud platforms such as iCIMS, Vemo, and Qualtrics. Key Responsibilities:

Workday Platform-Specific Technical Knowledge Workday Studio extensive experience with Workdays integrated development environment for building complex integrations. Workday Core Connectors & Cloud Connect used for pre-built integrations with third-party systems. Workday Report Writer for building custom reports and dashboards. Workday Security Model for understanding roles, domains, and business processes. Workday Calculated Fields for dynamic data manipulation.

Technical Skills:

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or Scala.

Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) for creating standard integrations using Workdays tools. XSLT & XML for data transformation and integration logic. Web Services & APIs experience working with Workday SOAP and REST APIs, along with iCIMS APIs and secure file based integrations, including authentication, data contracts, error handling, and performance considerations for enterprise scale integrations across recruiting, HCM, and analytics platforms. SQL & Data Analysis understanding of data structures and querying for reporting and analytics. .Net and AzureDevOps, Octopus for integrations with the Finance platform

Education and Certifications:

4 Year / Bachelors Degree required
