As a Sr Application Architect at Kohler India, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the development of robust, scalable, and secure software applications. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape, ensuring alignment with business goals, and guiding development teams.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead the architectural design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to best practices, industry standards, and architectural principles.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications, architectural blueprints, and detailed design documents.
* Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to meet application needs, considering factors like performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Define and enforce architectural patterns, coding standards, and design guidelines across various projects.
* Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
* Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning to ensure the quality, efficiency, and robustness of applications.
* Research and stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software architecture and development.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the application development lifecycle.
* Participate in strategic planning for technology roadmaps and future architectural directions.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in an architectural role.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed, and highly available enterprise applications.
* Strong expertise in architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Layered Architecture) and design principles.
* Proficient in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and associated frameworks.
* Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their architectural considerations.
* Experience with database design (relational and NoSQL) and optimization techniques.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
* Experience in the manufacturing or consumer goods industry is a plus.
