Sr. Application Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Application Developer based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to provide senior-level application development and technical leadership supporting Federal government missions.
You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design through development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
The position combines hands-on engineering with project leadership, technical direction, and stakeholder collaboration.
You will build and enhance enterprise applications supporting critical business functions such as finance, personnel, logistics, contracts, and accounting.
The environment involves complex Microsoft and enterprise technologies, large-scale databases, web services, and modern development toolchains.
You will also help improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and efficiency while supporting evolving mission requirements.

Accountabilities
- Analyze functional business applications and detailed design specifications to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Create system designs, block diagrams, logic flow charts, technical specifications, and other development artifacts.
- Design, develop, test, debug, enhance, and maintain complex enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop solutions using ASP.NET, .NET Framework, J2EE, object-oriented design and programming, WSDL, Web Services, and relational database technologies.
- Build and support application components using JavaScript, jQuery, VBScript, GitLab, Visual Studio, LLBLGen Pro, Kendo, Telerik, TFS, Salesforce, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Improve existing applications by addressing defects, enhancing performance, reducing operating time, and supporting changing business and mission requirements.
- Support application programming and system design across large-scale database management environments.
- Prepare and maintain program-level, system-level, technical, and user documentation throughout the application lifecycle.
- Provide technical direction and project leadership to programmers and development staff, helping ensure milestones, schedules, and quality expectations are achieved.
- Collaborate with Government stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve implementation challenges, and deliver effective application solutions.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex software engineering and enterprise application challenges.
- 10+ years of experience in application development, software engineering, or systems development, including technical leadership or project-lead responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited U.S. university.
- Strong expertise in ASP.NET and the .NET Framework.
- Experience with J2EE, object-oriented design (OOD), object-oriented programming (OOP), WSDL, and Web Services.
- Demonstrated experience developing applications within relational database management systems and large-scale database environments.
- Hands-on experience with technologies and tools including jQuery, JavaScript, VBScript, GitLab, Visual Studio, LLBLGen Pro, Kendo, Telerik, TFS, jQuery Maps, Salesforce, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Experience with system design, application development, software testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production support for complex applications.
- Strong technical documentation, written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical direction, coordinate development activities, and work effectively toward program deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience supporting Federal application development programs or comparable Government contracting environments.
- Preferred background developing applications for finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, contracts, or other enterprise business functions.
- Experience leading or mentoring development teams and coordinating technical work across multiple application components is advantageous.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, source control, release management, enterprise integrations, and Government environments is preferred.
- Salary of approximately $185,000.
