Role Summary

The Senior Associate, Private Credit Platform Management is a high-impact, high-trust role combining investment analytics, strategic communication, and business operations in support of NLG Capital’s Private Credit investment teams and Transaction Committees. This role transforms complex—and at times incomplete—information into precise, objective, decision-ready analysis while helping ensure the Private Credit platform operates effectively. Working across investment, risk, finance, and operations, the Senior Associate connects people, information, and priorities and develops materials for investment professionals, senior leadership, committees, and board-level audiences.
The ideal candidate is an analytical and highly organized professional who communicates complex ideas with clarity and precision. They bring exceptional written and visual communication skills, advanced Excel and presentation capabilities, fluency with modern AI tools, and the judgment to operate effectively in an environment where priorities evolve and answers are not always immediately apparent. Experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, an executive office, investment banking, or investment management—particularly within asset management, private markets, or financial services—will position a candidate well for success.
This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Distill complex and sometimes incomplete information into precise, objective, decision-ready analysis for investment professionals, Transaction Committees, and senior leadership.
- Develop board-, executive-, and committee-level presentations and reporting that translate data and complex information into clear narratives, actionable insights, and high-quality visualizations.
- Conduct analysis across the Private Credit platform, including Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit, to support origination, portfolio management, risk monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
- Leverage advanced Excel, modern AI tools, and data visualization techniques to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analytics, reporting, and business processes.
- Coordinate priorities, organize teams, track deliverables, and help drive execution across strategic and operational initiatives throughout the Private Credit platform.
- Serve as an analytics and coordination partner to the Private Credit Transaction Committee, coordinating meeting materials, maintaining minutes, and tracking approvals, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Partner with investment, risk, finance, and operations teams to improve and standardize recurring reporting, metrics, workflows, and processes.
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis, briefing materials, and special projects as business and investment priorities evolve.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting, governance, workflows, and the effective use of technology and AI across the Private Credit platform.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 4–6 years of related professional experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, an executive office, management consulting, investment banking, investment management, or a related environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into precise, objective materials for senior management and investment committees.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including experience developing executive-, board-, or committee-level presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data modeling.
- Demonstrated fluency with modern AI tools and their application to analysis, drafting, reporting, and workflow improvement.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to work effectively with complex or incomplete information.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive deliverables to completion.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships across investment, risk, finance, operations, and other business functions.
- Working knowledge of private credit or demonstrated ability to quickly develop knowledge of Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within asset management, private markets, financial services, or a regulated asset-owner environment.
- Experience supporting investment committees, transaction committees, executive leadership, or similar governance processes.
- Experience developing reporting, analytics, or presentations for senior leadership or board-level audiences.
- Experience using data visualization techniques to communicate complex financial or investment information.
- Programming or related technical experience.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

Base Pay Range. The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
