About the Role:
We're seeking a 10+ years of experience, highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Falcon Exposure Management (FEM) team at CrowdStrike. You'll design and develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, and assessment capabilities that help organizations discover, assess, and manage their exposure and risk. You'll work on a globally distributed, fault-tolerant cloud ecosystem that processes high-volume data and delivers actionable insights.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices that power assessment and exposure management capabilities
• Research, analyze, and develop assessment content and logic that evaluates organizational exposure against industry standards
• Handle customer escalations to identify and resolve assessment findings
• Map assessment content to relevant compliance frameworks
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, normalize, and correlate data at scale
• Build robust data processing systems to integrate assessment logic with multiple data sources and third-party providers
• Design and implement database solutions using RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL databases, and distributed caching solutions
• Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, identify performance issues, and optimize system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and contribute to technical decisions
• Own end-to-end technical delivery from design through production deployment
• Utilize AI technologies and LLMs to enhance workflows, streamline development, and improve engineering efficiency
  
  

What You'll Need:

• 10+ years of production experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
• Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages (Golang, Python, Java, or similar)
• Proven microservices experience with designing scalable REST APIs and distributed communication patterns
• Experience with container technology and/or Kubernetes
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge
• Solid distributed systems understanding (concurrency, parallel processing, scalability)
• Message queue proficiency (Kafka or similar)
• Database versatility across RDBMS/SQL, distributed data stores, and caching solutions
• System troubleshooting expertise for complex distributed architectures
• Engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, resilient architecture design)
• Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures and technical problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows
• Research mindset with knowledge of authoritative sources for security configuration guidance
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts
• Provide influential insights across multiple teams

Bonus Points:

• Practical experience with Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Redis
• Prior experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or compliance domains
• Experience building data platforms at scale, including distributed ETLs and data pipelines
• Machine learning or AI implementation experience
• Working knowledge of LLMs and agentic workflows
