What you'll do
- Build and maintain secure, scalable backend services.
- Lead architectural planning for distributed systems.
- Establish standards for testing, code quality, and deployment.
- Partner with operations and product teams to launch features.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level staff.
- Define long-term engineering strategy and identify system improvements.
- Resolve complex production incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Background in microservice architecture and systems design.
- Ability to create unit and integration tests.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring team members.
- Practical knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
Nice to have
- BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Experience with MySQL or Cassandra databases.
- Familiarity with automated rollbacks, configuration targeting, and client SDK integration.
- History of shipping features on time.
- Background in the logistics or freight industry.
- Experience with React.
