Position Summary:
The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of new products, services, and functionality to the Bank’s loan origination system. This role is responsible for analyzing proposed changes, providing implementation recommendations, developing and executing User Acceptance Testing plans, and performing post-production validation to ensure changes meet business requirements, risk standards, and operational expectations for various credit card and recreation lending products. This role also includes support of periodic processes to support both new and existing products and monitoring.
Essential Functions:
- Review and analyze business change requests for the Bank’s loan origination system, assessing impacts to processes, controls, compliance, and system functionality.
- Collaborate with business owners and developers to clarify requirements and recommend practical, risk-aware implementation approaches.
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive UAT test plans and test cases that validate business requirements and identify defects prior to production deployment.
- Coordinate UAT activities, track results, and manage defect resolution.
- Perform post-production validation and monitoring to confirm changes function as intended.
- Document test results, findings, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, with an emphasis on automation.
- Support new account acquisition processes, including managing and updating internal datasets, drafting specification documents, reviewing exceptions from automated monitoring, and performing ad-hoc data analysis.
Requirements for Success:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience required.
- Five years of experience in UAT/system testing, credit underwriting, or other related field required.
- Three years of data analysis using SAS, SQL, Python, or related database analytical software is required.
- Experience building and implementing automated solutions for manual processes required.
Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in translating high level business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to read and understand decision logic in both high and low code environments.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to use various analytical software or languages (such as SQL or Python). Experience with Snowflake preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple complex projects with day-to-day tasks.
- Ability to leverage technology, automation, and AI-enable solutions.
- Experience using Jira and Zephyr is preferred.
