WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Sr. Business Systems Architect translates business strategy, operating models, processes, data needs, market requirements, and regulatory obligations into business and functional systems architectures that enable business outcomes while maximizing platform reuse and minimizing complexity and operational risk. The role defines capabilities, end-to-end process and system views, functional requirements, solution options, and traceability frameworks for market expansion and regional initiatives. It partners with Enterprise, Solution, Data, Integration, Security, and Infrastructure Architects—who retain accountability for detailed technical design and approval—to maintain architecture continuity from discovery through implementation and stabilization.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  1. Business Systems Architecture & Capability Design\: Lead the development of end-to-end business and functional systems architectures that connect business strategy, capabilities, value streams, processes, information needs, applications, integrations, controls, and organizational ownership. Translate company goals, customer and dealer needs, operating-model requirements, and market constraints into current- and target-state capability models, process and system landscapes, functional interaction views, and transition roadmaps. Define what business capabilities and functional outcomes systems must support, identify opportunities to leverage or extend existing platforms. Partner with technical architects to determine how those outcomes are implemented.

  2. Functional Requirements, Traceability & Impact Assessment\: Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives into architecture principles, functional requirements, business rules, information and integration needs, control requirements, nonfunctional business expectations, and acceptance outcomes. Establish traceability from business objectives and capabilities through processes, requirements, affected systems, data, controls, and implementation outcomes. Perform fit-gap, dependency, complexity, readiness, and change-impact assessments to identify process, configuration, integration, data, vendor, platform, and organizational changes. Collaborate with technical architects and delivery teams, to incorporate these into technical specifications, solution designs, and engineering decisions.

  3. Market Expansion & Regional Business Systems Blueprint\: Develop reusable market-readiness frameworks, business capability models, functional reference patterns, decision criteria, and localization approaches covering origination, credit, contracting, funding, servicing, payments, collections, accounting, reporting, dealer integration, customer communications, and regulatory requirements. Assess which enterprise capabilities and platforms can be reused, configured, extended, or localized; document business architecture decisions, tradeoffs, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and phased options; and partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure technical designs conform to enterprise standards and approved technology roadmaps.

  4. Business Architecture Governance & Delivery Enablement\: Govern alignment of delivered capabilities to approved business outcomes, functional architecture, requirements, and documented decisions. Maintain architecture continuity across discovery, planning, implementation, testing, and stabilization; support prioritization, sequencing, and change control; and validate that business capabilities, processes, controls, and acceptance outcomes are addressed. Partner with Enterprise and technical architects for technical conformance and design approval. Partner with Product, Project, Program, and Technical Delivery leaders on delivery planning, execution, resources, schedule, and implementation quality.

  5. Stakeholder Leadership & Architecture Knowledge Management\: Communicate business systems architecture recommendations, functional solution options, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs to technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional decisions across business functions, Digital, regional stakeholders, OEM, distributor and dealer partners, third-party providers, and architecture teams. Maintain capability models, process and system views, functional blueprints, decision records, traceability artifacts, assumptions, risks, and lessons learned to promote consistency and reuse. Provide business systems architecture guidance and mentorship to analysts and project teams.
