Custom Profile is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer who can turn supply challenges into smart, practical solutions. As an employee-owned manufacturer of specialty thermoplastic profile extrusions and sub-assemblies, we serve a blue-chip customer base from locations in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Camden, South Carolina; and Juarez, Mexico. Our in-house tooling capabilities give us greater control over quality and lead times—and our collaborative culture gives employees the opportunity to make a visible impact.

What You’ll Do

· Plan and execute raw-material procurement using MRP, Kanban and other demand signals.

· Build strong partnerships with scheduling, manufacturing, sales, engineering and key suppliers.

· Lead MRO sourcing, purchasing and analysis in coordination with Production and Maintenance.

· Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root-cause analysis and corrective action.

· Optimize MRP, source-list and material-master parameters, and proactively communicate availability risks.

· Partner with Program Management to secure materials for launches and engineering changes.

· Drive inventory, service and cost performance with production, scheduling and suppliers.

· Maintain accurate ERP data, including pricing, lead times, order quantities, safety stock and purchase-order details.

· Keep Safety Data Sheets and Technical Data Sheets current.

· Monitor purchase orders in IQMS and follow through to support on-time delivery.

· Lead or support RFQs, negotiations, cost-savings initiatives and supplier evaluations.

· Collaborate with Quality and suppliers to resolve nonconforming raw-material issues.

· Take on special projects and assignments as business needs evolve.

· Champion continuous improvement and help make Custom Profile safer, more efficient and more enjoyable.
