NewSr. Buyer – Indirect Procurement
Senior Buyer is responsible for supporting procurement and vendor management activities for various indirect goods and services, including IT, HR, Professional Services, Transportation, Legal, through a systematic procure to pay process.
Job Responsibilities -
Lead assigned sourcing projects and drives them to successful completion, including market analysis, RFx process, risk assessment and due diligence, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and Purchase Order management.
Perform tactical (BAU) procurement activities per the framework/guidelines defined.
Support the supplier risk assessment and due diligence process.
Develop strong relationships with internal business partners.
Drive cost-saving initiatives to align with company goals.
Determine total cost of ownership for products and services procured.
Participate in the evaluation of supplier capabilities, cost structure, risks, and ongoing performance monitoring etc.
Develop supplier scorecards / ratings on an ongoing basis to measure supplier performance.
Issue Purchase orders and track deliveries.
Actively work with AP and suppliers to resolve any invoice and payment issues.
Manage vendor catalogs and work with Category Leaders and business to keep them current.
Ability to review/redline contracts/Order Forms across multiple procurement categories.
Qualifications
BS or BA in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or other business-related field
5 – 7 years’ relevant procurement experience
Solid negotiation, analytical and reporting skills
Expertise in financial analysis with knowledge in cost model development
Team player with the ability to work on cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills and hands on with one of the Source to Pay solution
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, legal, procurement, finance and other departments as needed to accomplish daily tasks and issues.
Comfortable with engaging suppliers and leading internal calls for project resolution
Experienced with summarizing and effectively communicating contract summary to senior executives
Ability to determine prioritization of sourcing funnels and actively work with Category Leaders.
