About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our high-performance video advertising platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 7-10 years of relevant work experience. They should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cloud computing, containerization, and distributed systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Golang, or similar, along with experience in network programming, Linux/Unix environments, and large-scale system development, is essential. Familiarity with middleware technologies like caches, message queues, and web servers such as Nginx will be advantageous. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and excellent communication abilities. Experience in the advertising industry or with large-scale online services will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construct and optimize the infrastructure of the ad delivery system ensuring high concurrency, high availability, and low latency performance.
• Continuously analyze and improve existing systems to support rapid business growth and evolving requirements.
• Lead end-to-end software development, including designing new features, updating existing applications, and managing software releases.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and define product and technical requirements, conducting thorough analysis for integration needs.
• Research, write, and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical designs, evaluation plans, test results, and manuals.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle, guiding best practices, procedures, and techniques. Mentor junior engineers to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
• Apply in-depth engineering methodologies and concepts to develop scalable solutions, presenting and defending architectural and technical decisions to internal teams.
• Design, architect, and implement scalable solutions utilizing AWS services, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
• Develop and manage reliable cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance optimization and cost-efficiency.
• Deploy and oversee containerized applications with orchestration tools, maintaining security and compliance standards.
• Support overall business objectives by troubleshooting issues and providing technical solutions promptly.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in cloud and containerization technologies, evaluating their potential benefits for our infrastructure.
• Identify automation and optimization opportunities, collaborating with global teams to enhance deployment processes.
• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams worldwide to incorporate collective innovations and best practices.
