Sr. Certification Development Program Manager
Summary
Leads technical certification program (SnowPro) for Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, designing hands-on assessments, managing SMEs, and aligning exams with platform updates. Bridges technical implementation, psychometric standards, and global enablement.
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
The Snowflake Global Revenue Enablement team is fanatical about building and certifying technical champions worldwide. We deliver innovative learning and enablement solutions that empower individuals to excel on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
We are looking for an elite Sr. Certification Development Program Manager (PM) to lead technical certification releases, assessment architecture, and exam development for the SnowPro Certification program. This hands-on, technical role requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and bridges the gap between technical implementation, psychometric exam development, and practical assessment experiences for a global network of Snowflake experts.
Responsibilities
Multi-Modal Assessment Architecture: Design, develop, and deploy lab-based practical assessments (including architectural concepts and automated scoring scripts), micro-credentials, performance-based tasks, and rubric-based evaluations for demonstrated hands-on skills.
SME Workshop Facilitation: Recruit, train, and lead global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) through synchronous and asynchronous exam development workshops, including Program Design, Job Task Analyses (JTA), item writing, technical reviews, and standard setting (cut-score) sessions.
Technical Question Validation & Quality: Author, review, and technically validate advanced scenario-based exam questions to ensure alignment with Snowflake platform updates, AI/ML features, and architectural best practices.
Editorial & Style Governance: Review and revise exam content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and tone, ensuring readability and strict adherence to Snowflake editorial standards.
End-to-End Program & Project Management: Use project management tools and methodologies to manage medium-to-large-scale exam development projects, directing simultaneous releases to deliver high-quality outputs on time.
Vendor & Psychometric Collaboration: Partner with psychometricians and delivery vendors (e.g., Pearson) to monitor statistical item performance, manage item banks, ensure QTI compliance, and enforce strict exam security.
Localization & Publishing Management: Oversee the operational workflows, publishing, maintenance, and global localization processes for all certification forms and program assets.
Enablement, Marketing & Launch: Drive new and updated exam launches by developing study guides, practice exams, web content, program articles, and blog posts to drive candidate success and program awareness.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Engineering, Product Marketing, and Technical Documentation teams to keep certification paths continuously synchronized with major platform releases and product roadmaps.
Requirements
Content & Assessment Expertise: 6+ years of experience in technical content development, certification design, assessment engineering, or IT/technical training in enterprise software environments.
Technical Proficiency: 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and building technical labs, practical assessments, or hands-on environments across enterprise cloud or data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP).
Project Management & Operations: Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects from concept to launch using standard PM tools and frameworks in fast-paced or asynchronous environments.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Education, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex cloud architectural patterns into clear, evaluative assessment objectives and crisp editorial content.
Preferred Skills:
Certification: SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Certified.
Platform Experience: Direct hands-on experience with the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, including proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
Assessment Tools & Standards: Experience with item banking platforms (e.g., Pearson ExamDeveloper) and assessment standards like QTI (Question & Test Interoperability).
AI/ML & GenAI Workflows: Hands-on experience or familiarity with LLMs, AI/ML workflows, and building agents.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
