Sr. Cloud Security Engineer (Remote)

Designs, implements, and maintains cloud and infrastructure security controls to protect systems and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Performs hands-on remediation of vulnerabilities, monitors cloud security posture, and enforces secure configurations across cloud and infrastructure environments. Partners with security, cloud engineering, and application teams to embed security into cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and platform design. Provides technical leadership and guidance on secure design patterns, supporting compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement without direct people management responsibilities.

• Performs hands-on remediation of cloud and infrastructure vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
• Operates and manages vulnerability management and cloud security posture tools, including scan coverage, findings, and reporting.
• Identifies and remediates cloud configuration risks across environments to maintain secure posture.
• Implements and validates security controls across cloud-native services, infrastructure, and container-based platforms.
• Maintains secure configuration of network, compute, and application infrastructure components.
• Monitors and reports on compliance against security policies, baselines, and regulatory frameworks.
• Partners with security teams to define, update, and enforce cloud security policies and standards.
• Supports audit activities, including evidence collection, reporting, and remediation of findings.
• Embeds security practices into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code implementations.
• Reviews and advises on infrastructure and deployment configurations to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Collaborates with identity and access management teams to enforce access controls and privileged access practices.
• Supports secure management of secrets, certificates, and credentials across the environment.
• Contributes to server and platform hardening through configuration management and compliance practices.
• Provides technical guidance and mentorship on security best practices across engineering teams.
• Participates in architecture and design reviews to ensure security considerations are incorporated.
• Collaborates with cloud, platform, and network engineering teams to align on secure design and implementation.
• Evaluates emerging security threats, tooling, and technologies to improve overall security posture.
• Supports incident response and vulnerability management activities in coordination with security teams.
