Job Description

Role overview:

Own end‑to‑end SQL solutions: optimize performance, migrate business processes into SQL, manage databases, and deliver analytical reporting—supported by advanced Excel for fast, reliable insights.

Responsibilities

· Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

· Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, indexing, and execution plans.

· Convert manual/Excel-based workflows into SQL-driven processes.

· Strong practical knowledge of advanced SQL functions, leveraging enhancements in current release

· Design scalable schemas and automate recurring tasks.

· Must have good experience in testing and troubleshooting database issues

· Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

· Use advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, Vlookup..etc.) for reporting and data analysis.

· Document database architecture, design decisions, and operational procedures to promote knowledge sharing within the team

· Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear, cosncise manner.

· Proven, practical experience working with ETL tools

· Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.

· Must have knowledge of designing Data model (Star / Snowflake Schema)

· Knowledge of data warehousing concepts is a plus.

Minimum qualifications

• 4–7 years with SQL Server, strong T‑SQL, normalization, indexing, partitioning, performance tuning.

• Proven delivery converting business processes from Excel/legacy scripts into SQL-driven pipelines.

• Advance Excel skills (Power Query, pivots, formulas; data connections to SQL)

• Knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred qualifications

· Knowledge of AWS, Power BI or QlikSense
