Job Description
A client in the Food Service Industry is seeking a Senior Databricks Data Engineer to join a high-impact data modernization initiative. This individual will play a critical role in the company's largest technology transformation effort, helping migrate and modernize the enterprise data platform from legacy AWS RedShift to Databricks. The project is considered foundational to the organization's future digital strategy and will enable broader initiatives across web modernization, digital menu enhancements, pricing capabilities, and other customer-facing technology investments. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and optimizing data solutions within Databricks. The engineer will work closely with Data Engineering, Data Platform, Analytics, and Architecture teams to develop scalable data pipelines, modernize legacy data assets. Success in this role requires deep Databricks expertise, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where delivery timelines are a top priority. This person has to be comfortable with a rate of $35-43/hr dependent on location and experience level.

Skills and Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong experience migrating enterprise data platforms to Databricks.
- Proven experience building, optimizing, and supporting modern data platforms
- Expertise designing and developing scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions
- Strong SQL and data modeling experience
- Experience working within cloud-based data environments
- Ability to work as a hands-on builder and contribute directly to development efforts
- Experience collaborating with Data Architects, Platform Engineers, and Analytics teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical leadership and cross-functional teams
- Experience working for an Enterprise US-based company AWS Redshift experience, particularly supporting modernization from legacy warehouse platforms
- Experience supporting digital product, web, or customer-facing data ecosystems
