We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines that support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and quality of data across multiple systems and platforms.
This role requires strong expertise in modern data engineering practices, distributed data processing, and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing frameworks.
Build high-performance data solutions using Java or Python, Apache Spark, and cloud-native technologies.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and data services to support platform integrations.
Work with real-time and batch data processing systems, including streaming technologies.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code using industry best practices and design patterns.
Ensure high standards of data security, integrity, and data quality across all pipelines.
Platform Ownership & Operations
Take end-to-end ownership of data services, including deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
Monitor application health, system performance, and data pipeline reliability.
Implement metrics, logging, and monitoring to proactively detect issues.
Develop documentation such as runbooks, operational guides, and technical documentation.
Incident Management & Reliability
Investigate and resolve production incidents while minimizing impact on users.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability.
Contribute to incident postmortems and operational improvement initiatives.
