Sr. Design Automation Engineer (AMS Flow Automation & Methodology)

We are seeking an AMS Flow Automation & Methodology Engineer to build and deploy scalable verification methodologies for analog and mixed-signal design teams. The role focuses on developing automated workflows, integrating EDA tools, enabling design signoff, and improving engineering productivity across complex semiconductor programs.

The ideal candidate combines strong analog/mixed-signal verification knowledge with software development and automation expertise to create robust, reusable solutions used by design teams worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated verification workflows for Analog and Mixed-Signal designs.
  • Build methodology solutions around Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/APS, and related AMS platforms.
  • Create flow automation frameworks for AC/DC/transient, noise, linearity, matching and corner/Monte Carlo coverage for analog and mixed-signal blocks.
  • Integrate design environments, databases, and simulation tools into streamlined user workflows.
  • Develop reusable automation utilities using Python, SKILL, Tcl, or Perl.
  • Partner with design, CAD, PDK, and software teams to improve productivity and quality.
  • Drive methodology adoption and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Create reference flows, training materials, and best-practice documentation.
  • Develop regression, dashboard, and reporting infrastructure for design signoff.
  • Provide world-class user support and establish a gold-standard of driving customer success

Required Experience and Skills

  • M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in AMS methodology, CAD engineering, EDA applications engineering, or automation development.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/APS, ADE Explorer/Assembler
  • Strong software development skills in Python and at least one of SKILL, Tcl, or Perl.
  • Understanding of AMS verification methodologies and design signoff requirements.
  • Experience developing production-quality automation and regression infrastructure.
  • Strong experience working with design data management and revision control systems like Perforce, DesignSync, Git etc.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience in EDA product development or applications engineering.
  • Experience verifying designs in GaAs, SiGe HBT, or advanced CMOS RF processes
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal verification (real-number modeling, co-simulation, or AMS flows)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, containerized environments, or cloud-based EDA workflows.
