About the Opportunity

Our client is a global technology company seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while ensuring reliable software delivery across multiple environments. You will work closely with Development, QA, Database, and Operations teams to streamline deployment processes and support mission-critical applications.

Hands-on experience supporting and administering ON-PREMISES (On-Prem) environments. Cloud-only experience is not sufficient.

Strong hands-on experience with BOTH Jenkins and Maven. These technologies must be explicitly stated in your work experience.

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Build, package, deploy, and release software solutions across multiple environments.

Monitor and maintain software builds to ensure reliability and stability.

Automate deployment processes and continuously improve build and release workflows.

Collaborate with Development, QA, Database, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality software releases.

Support globally distributed engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Troubleshoot build and deployment issues, providing root cause analysis and timely resolutions.

Create and maintain documentation for build, deployment, and release procedures.

Coordinate release schedules across multiple teams.

Recommend and implement improvements to DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Build & Release, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering role.

Mandatory hands-on experience supporting On-Premises infrastructure.

Mandatory hands-on experience using Jenkins and Maven in production environments.

Strong experience with Git, SVN, and CI/CD automation.

Experience administering Linux servers and writing shell scripts.

Proficiency in Python scripting.

Experience working with Oracle and SQL databases.

Familiarity with development technologies such as Java, C#, or Angular.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure (On-Prem + Cloud).

Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Experience with high-availability production environments.

Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.

Work Requirements

Willing to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and globally distributed environment.
