Role Overview

This is a position that assists the head of Rocket Now Japan in establishing Rocket Now Japan's EHS policies and goals, conducting EHS performance improvement activities, education, and audit, and guiding and advising employees to create a mature safety culture, responding preemptively to legal matters, and performing safety and health management tasks to create a safe and pleasant working environment for workers.

What You Will Do

Job Description

1. Application of laws and regulations

  • Must understand the laws and regulations related to occupational safety and health/hygiene, and the ability to operate procedures and systems required by relevant laws and regulations

  • Establish the standard procedures/guidelines for occupational safety and health/hygiene and management of compliance with laws and regulations

2. Occupational safety and health/sanitation management

  • Formulate and manage policies on occupational safety and health/hygiene to prevent industrial incidents

  • Implement, evaluate and improve measures for occupational safety and health/hygiene

  • Conduct risk assessment and measures based on the results

  • Conduct occupational safety and health/sanitation education and take measures to maintain the health of workers

  • Manage medical checkups and stress check and promote the health maintenance activities

  • Organize and manage the health/hygiene committee (衛生委員会)

  • Investigate the root cause of industrial incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence

  • Manage fire prevention in the workplace

  • Inspect and maintain the emergency kits and the fire prevention equipment, etc

  • Statistics on workers' injuries and illnesses, resulting deaths, absences and transfers

  • Record and maintain occupational safety and health/hygiene data

3. Communication

  • Organize occupational safety and health/hygiene issues and work closely with stakeholders

  • Perform direct or indirect job of business-related government agencies

Basic Qualifications

  • Type 2 Health Supervisor License or Type 1 Health Supervisor License or Hygiene Engineering Hygiene Supervisor License

  • A person deemed to have the necessary knowledge and experience as a person who has completed fire prevention management classes or as a fire prevention manager (a person prescribed in Article 3 -1- 1 (b), (c) of the Enforcement Decree of the Fire Protection Act and Article 2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Fire Protection Act)

  • Native or having a equivalent to Native level Japanese capability
  • At least 5 years of experience in EHS

  • Experienced in responding to government agencies, such as the Labor Office and the Fire Department, etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, or logistics and delivery industries

  • Experienced EHS experience in multinational companies

  • Capability of proactively communicating with the stakeholders, self learning and demonstrate the problem solving.
