Preferred Locations: Atlanta, GA, Hartford, CT, Boston, MA or Albany, NY but would consider remote if on the East Coast only.
Pay: $130-$140K

An Electric Transmission Engineer V
responsible for leading complex initiatives that strengthen grid reliability and enhance power delivery. Modernizing transmission infrastructure, supporting renewable energy integration, and delivering solutions that promote a sustainable energy future.

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to acquire one within 6-12 months.
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for electric transmission infrastructure, including overhead lines, underground transmission, and grid-hardening upgrades
  • Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of electric transmission engineering
  • Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions that enhance grid resiliency and energy efficiency
  • Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
  • Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies
