Sr. Embedded Engineer (MicroPython/C/ARM/ESP32)

Build small, robust, security-focused hardware products that Bitcoiners trust with real money. Own embedded firmware delivery for new hardware products and revisions, work closely with hardware and manufacturing realities, build reliable user-facing firmware for small-screen security devices, debug across firmware, hardware, tooling, and manufacturing, and make practical UX and engineering tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

  • Own embedded firmware delivery for new hardware products and revisions.
  • Work with hardware, datasheets, peripherals, displays, buttons, NFC/radio modules, power systems, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Build reliable user-facing firmware for small-screen security devices.
  • Debug across firmware, hardware, tooling, and manufacturing.
  • Make practical UX and engineering tradeoffs with the team.
  • Take ownership from initial concept through firmware, board bring-up, debugging, manufacturing support, and shipping.

Requirements

  • Senior-level embedded experience with 10+ years or equivalent.
  • Strong ownership and commitment to robustness and reliability.
  • Experience with MicroPython, C, ARM, and ESP32.
  • Experience with I2C, SPI, and RS-232.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and websockets.
