Sr. Engineer - Projects (Site)

1. To identify the project's goals, objectives, and scope and to follow the project schedule that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required for the given project.
   
2. To oversee all the technical aspects of the project.
   
3. To understand all design documents and drawings related to site execution.
   
4. To complete the project within the agreed budget and timelines.
   
5. To ensure verification of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) along with materials available on-site by other team members.
   
6. To check all the construction drawings with respect to site conditions.
   
7. To coordinate with the design team for changes in construction drawings in alliance with the site project head.
   
8. To ensure that work is not executed without approved construction drawings that suit to site.
   
9. To verify all the installations done by team members on a daily basis and make necessary corrections, if any.
   
10. To help the team members in identifying the proper BOQ items and manage daily material issues from stores.
    
11. To follow all the working and safety protocols at the site as per requirements.
    
12. To ensure that a daily site report are prepared on the work done and track the same with the project plan.
    
13. To report changes, if any, with proper explanations for delays or otherwise.
    
14. To prepare and get approval on the stage-wise work completion reports wherever required from the client on a regular basis.
    
15. To take care of the tools and tackles and ensure that they are handled properly and are not misplaced at the site.
    

Supervisory Responsibilities:

1. To assign and monitor the work allotted to the site team (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning ( HVAC), electrical, utility, etc.
   
2. To coordinate effectively between the design and site teams.
   
3. To ensure proper installation of systems such as HVAC, air compressors, water systems, chillers, mechanical piping, plumbing, hot water generators, Diesel Generator Sets (DG), fire hydrants, Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE), cooling towers, utility equipment and piping, boilers, heat exchangers, formulation equipment, automated packing lines, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), access control, and fire alarm systems (FAS).
   
4. To highlight any variances to the project head.
   
5. To highlight any issues and problems to the project head.
   
6. To organize proper utilities and working tools for the team members at the site.
   
7. To appraise the team members on their daily work as per the work schedule.
   
8. To take reports from the team members on the daily work and highlight issues related to deviations of work with respect to construction drawings. Explain to them possible corrections and the next action plan.
   
9. To ensure that all the team members are working as per the quality standards and that the speed of work is as per the requirements.
   
10. To attend site meetings on a regular basis and appraise the project heads on the issues, possible resolutions, time schedule, etc.
    
11. To be responsible for the attendance of the workmen at the site and ensure that they work as per the stipulated time.

6. Must be able to deal with contractors of various faculties without compromising the timeline and budget of the project in hand.
   

Knowledge:

1. Should have knowledge of Auto-CAD & MS-Project (project scheduling).
   
2. Should be familiar with cleanroom installation work (cleanroom modular partitions
   
3. Should be familiar with Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) installation work and qualification activities.
   
4. Should be familiar with general and hygienic utility work, including equipment and piping.
   
5. Should be familiar with electrification works.
   

Preferred Knowledge:

1. Project Management Qualification (PMP), Certified Associate and Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a Project Engineer would be an added advantage.
