Sr Export Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Review Export orders for BIS Military End Use (MEU) rule for any restriction or license applicability and work with the Corporate Export Control team for review and approval.
- Conduct MEU due diligence to meet the regulatory requirements.
- Perform screening and conduct due diligence of customers and transactions to identify and control sanctions and export compliance risks.
- Work with Cross Functional teams and support with reviewing Potential Customers/Suppliers for Projects, Shipments, and Intercompany transaction to meet requirements of sanctions and export compliance.
- Escalate alerts that may raise sanctions risks and potential authorization and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import and export regulations
- Manage and oversee import and export documentation, including classification, licensing, and customs documentation
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
- Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve trade compliance issues and mitigate risks
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 6+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company
- Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions
- Understanding of export regulations, including the ITAR, EAR and OFAC
- Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and compliance audits
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
- Ability to navigate complex situations
- SAP and/or SharePoint experience
