Sr. Field Application Engineer
Job Purpose:
Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is a high-growth, publicly traded technology company and a world leader in next-generation GaN and SiC power semiconductors. We are seeking a Sr. Field Application Engineer based in Taiwan to drive technical design-ins and system-level architecture wins across the AI Data Center (AIDC) and high-power AC/DC markets, targeting cutting-edge server Power Supply Units (PSU), Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and high-performance compute infrastructures.
Taiwan sits at the heart of the global AI server and power supply chain, home to leading ODMs, OEM R&D centers, and power supply manufacturers driving the world’s most advanced cloud and AI hardware. This high-visibility technical role operates with significant ownership and autonomy, requiring deep, collaborative relationships with system architects, R&D engineers, and technical leadership at Taiwan’s most strategic data center and high-power accounts.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Own and drive design-in activities from assigned Taiwan-based AC/DC PSU, DC/DC converter, and high-power laptop/workstation adapter accounts, targeting server power supplies, energy storage systems (ESS), Solid-state transformers (SST) and telecom/Industrial power modules (Bricks)
- Provide comprehensive system-level guidance, including topology selection, component sizing,. Schematic and PCB layout reviews. Drive design-in activity from NPI across assigned accounts
- Engage decision-makers across engineering, power architecture and executive leadership at Taiwan ODMs and dedicated PSU/adapter manufacturers
- Clearly articulate and demonstrate the quantifiable value proposition of Navitas GaN and SiC solutions in terms of efficiency, power density, thermal performance, and total cost of ownership
- Guide customers in migrating from legacy silicon to advanced wide-bandgap (GaN/SiC) solutions to maximize power density and efficiency in high-power applications.
- Hands-On Lab Validation. Conduct rigorous lab testing and prototype bring-up. Troubleshoot and solve complex design challenges related to high-power conversion, including AC/DC control loop stability, thermal management, high-frequency magnetic design, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and internal R&D. Translate emerging customer requirements in the Server PSU and ESS markets into actionable product definitions and roadmap enhancements to support our market competitiveness.
