Join Honeywell's Building Automation team as an Access Control / Security Systems Technician supporting customers throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. In this role, you will install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain access control and electronic security systems that protect people, property, and critical infrastructure.
Honeywell provides a company vehicle, gas card, laptop, mobile phone, and tools needed to perform the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, commission, maintain, and repair access control and electronic security systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and communication issues.
- Support access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and credentialing systems.
- Perform system testing, startups, inspections, and functional verification.
- Integrate security systems with building automation and third-party platforms.
- Review project drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend upgrades or corrective actions.
- Document service activities and communicate technical solutions to customers and project teams.
- Follow safety standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience installing, programming, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting access control, electronic security, or related low-voltage systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with access control hardware, including controllers, card readers, locking hardware, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and power supplies.
- 3+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic, software, networking, and communication-related system issues.
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting security drawings, wiring diagrams, system schematics, and technical specifications.
- 3+ years of experience supporting IP-based security systems and network-connected devices.
- 3+ years of experience providing on-site customer support, technical service, and system commissioning in commercial, institutional, healthcare, government, or industrial environments.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the Greater Los Angeles area to support customer sites
We Value:

- Experience with CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
- System integration experience across security and building automation platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting commercial, healthcare, government, or mission-critical facilities.
The annual base salary range for this position is $58,400min - $73,000mid. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
