We are hiring a: Sr. Finance Business Analyst (Oracle ERP Finance & Business Process Improvement)
St. Louis, Missouri
Watlow is seeking a Sr. Finance Business Analyst to join our IT organization in a high-impact, cross-functional role where you will own the stability and evolution of our Oracle ERP Finance systems. In this senior position, you will serve as the lead functional partner to Finance, setting priorities for finance system enhancements, owning relationships with our implementation and AMS partners, and helping shape how our finance processes run across our global sites.
This is not a back-office support role. You will be the bridge between Finance and IT, owning finance requests from intake through design, configuration, testing, and production, and leading critical ERP rollout activities as we extend Oracle across Europe and Asia. You will be the trusted advisor Finance leaders turn to, the person who keeps the work moving with our technical teams and partners, and a key driver of standardizing how Finance operates around the world. If you enjoy owning outcomes, solving complex problems, and making a lasting impact on how a global company runs, we would love to connect with you.
What You’ll Do:
Finance Business Partnership: Serve as the lead functional partner to Finance, Accounting, and Tax leaders, building strong relationships, understanding business needs and pain points, and advising on how Oracle can best support their processes.
Oracle Fusion Finance Ownership: Own functional support and configuration for Oracle Fusion Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting, Tax, Intercompany, and Projects/PPM as applicable.
End-to-End Delivery: Lead finance requests from intake through requirements, functional design, hands-on configuration, testing, and deployment to production, partnering with GL, EPM, and reporting owners to deliver the right solution.
Backlog & Roadmap Management: Own the finance systems backlog, prioritizing enhancements based on business value, compliance needs, operational impact, and capacity, and keep stakeholders informed on what is being built, tested, and implemented.
Vendor & Partner Management: Own day-to-day relationships with implementation partners and AMS providers, setting expectations, reviewing deliverables, and holding partners accountable to timelines, quality, and service levels.
Global ERP Rollout Leadership: Lead functional workstreams for ERP rollouts across Europe and Asia, including fit-gap analysis, data validation, mock conversion, UAT, training, cutover, hypercare, and transition to steady state.
Global Process Standardization: Drive consistent finance processes, configuration, and reporting across regions, partnering with global finance leaders to ensure everything works and looks the same everywhere.
Month-End Close & Production Support: Act as the escalation point for complex finance system issues, lead root cause analysis, support month-end close, and identify long-term fixes that prevent recurring problems.
Governance & Controls: Lead or actively participate in governance forums, including backlog reviews, M1/M2/M3 reviews, CAB discussions, and finance readiness checkpoints, and ensure changes align with SOX, audit, and security requirements.
Quarterly Release Management: Review Oracle quarterly updates, assess impact to Finance, and coordinate regression testing of key processes, integrations, and reports.
Continuous Improvement & Mentorship: Recommend process, configuration, and support model improvements, maintain high-quality documentation, and share knowledge with team members and business users.
