Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting activities which include end-to-end revenue cycle financial management CMS cost report data preparation and analysis cost allocation process management and budgeting and forecasting tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Build information workflow and related documentation on full revenue cycle -resident admission to claims/bill collection.
- Monitor analyze and provide KPI reports on revenue cycle risk areas including A/R aging and collectability billing risks and opportunities claim denials and resolutions and other metrics as requested.
- Build mapping and documentation for CMS Cost Reporting process due annually. Collaborate and review reporting process with key stakeholders to ensure submissions are accurate and align with operational practices. Analyze and provide related reports including service line cost trends YoY reimbursement rate premium flux and other metrics as needed
- Review and audit Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of data on a monthly basis
- Primary lead for revenue budgeting and forecasting tasks and reporting
- Co-administer Prophix PCC database and reports for revenue cycle and labor reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience Skills and Abilities
- Five or more years related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Accounting background preferred.
- Experience with PointClickCare Visio and Prophix highly desired.
- Strong expertise in Excel and proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to structure and build intuitive analyses determine data needs obtain and verify data and present results clearly and cogently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to vet deliverables to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to form good working relationships with peers and superiors across the organization.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think critically about assigned duties and to identify opportunities for improvements.
