Job Summary
CADY is growing quickly, and that growth is driving significant change across our systems. As we scale, the reliability of our data — particularly sales transaction data — has become a top priority for the business. As the Senior Financial Systems Analyst Role, you will be the dedicated owner of sales transaction data integrity. This role sits within FP&A and reports to the Director of FP&A. You will build and run a disciplined daily, weekly, and monthly audit process that confirms transactions flow correctly from our source systems into our BI tool, catches problems fast, and drives them to resolution in partnership with IT — protecting the accuracy and timeliness of the numbers Finance and Sales leadership depend on.
This is a foundational role during a period of real change for the company. Getting sales data right — through system migrations, new tool rollouts, and an eventual move to a data warehouse — protects revenue accuracy and leadership's confidence in what they see in their reports. This person won't just catch errors as they occur; they'll help build the ongoing discipline and process that carries CADY through its next stage of systems maturity.
Responsibilities
Daily & Weekly Data Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily transaction counts and dollar totals between source systems (Nucleus, Sunny16) and Domo, and investigate any variance the same day.
- Monitor integration and sync logs to catch failed or partial data transfers before they affect reporting.
- Trace a sample of transactions end-to-end each week, from source system through to Domo, to confirm the data matches at every step.
- Reconcile transaction flow between source systems, the credit card processor, and ultimate cash collection on a regular basis to confirm completeness beyond system-to-system checks.
Root Cause Analysis & IT Partnership
- Identify recurring root causes behind data issues, not just one-off symptoms, and document them clearly.
- Escalate issues to IT with the detail needed to resolve them quickly (which system, which field, which record), and drive them through to resolution with the appropriate owner.
- When issues are identified, work with IT and other appropriate resources to ensure prevention measures are implemented — this role identifies and drives resolution but is not responsible for building the fix itself.
- Maintain a formal, structured partnership with IT, including: a standing weekly sync to review open issues and root causes; an agreed same-day (or defined SLA) response commitment from IT on issues flagged as critical; advance visibility into system migration and development roadmaps before new integrations or changes go live; and a shared, mutually visible issue tracker so nothing is lost between the two functions.
Finance Systems Support
- Serve as the finance representative on data and systems initiatives as they arise — for example, the data warehouse build, Sage integration, or finance automation tools — providing the business and financial perspective on requirements and testing.
- Perform a full transaction-level reconciliation ahead of each month's financial close.
- Support Finance in resolving any data or integration issues identified during close.
- Provide a regular, concise data health update to Finance leadership.
- Communicate audit findings, open risks, and migration status clearly to the Director of FP&A and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, & Education)
- Comfortable reconciling data across multiple systems by hand — strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; basic SQL is a plus.
- Strong financial and business judgment — comfortable recognizing when a number looks wrong, even without deep visibility into the underlying system architecture.
- Able to read integration or system error logs and describe an issue precisely, even without writing the fix yourself.
- Understands the basics of revenue recognition and how transaction data connects to financial reporting.
- Detail-oriented with a genuinely high tolerance for repetitive, meticulous work — this role lives in the details.
- Comfortable escalating issues and following up persistently until they're resolved.
- Adaptable — this role is auditing systems that are actively changing (Sunny16 migration, future data warehouse), so the checklist itself will evolve.
- Experience with CRM/transaction systems, reporting tools such as Domo, or systems integrations is a strong plus, though not required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Extended periods of viewing computer screens
- Moderate noise and other potential sensory stimulants (business office with computers, phone, printers, music, and light foot traffic)
- Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach within an office environment
- Able to lift and move items up to 15 lbs., such as files, office supplies, or equipment
