Sr Full Stack Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Full Stack Engineer based in United States.
As a Sr Full Stack Engineer, you will build and evolve a sophisticated platform that helps organizations manage complex background screening and occupational health workflows. You will work across a mature Ruby on Rails monolith and a growing ecosystem of Go services, owning features from design through production. Your work will span customer-facing experiences, partner integrations, internal administration tools, and automated processing pipelines. You will contribute to AI-powered capabilities that improve document processing, data extraction, and screening workflows. The role combines full-stack engineering, backend architecture, third-party integrations, and modern AI-assisted development practices. You will join a globally distributed engineering environment where correctness, security, scalability, and delivery speed are all essential.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features across a Ruby on Rails monolith and Go microservices, including candidate portals, partner workflows, I-9 processes, internal administration tools, and adjudication capabilities.
- Build and extend Applicant Tracking System (ATS) integrations and third-party partner integrations to support reliable data exchange and streamlined workflows.
- Develop and maintain asynchronous vendor search, processing, and reporting pipelines with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Use artificial intelligence (AI) throughout the engineering workflow, including AI coding assistants, automated AI-powered code reviews, and agentic development tools to improve productivity without compromising engineering quality.
- Contribute to AI-powered product capabilities such as intelligent document parsing, structured extraction from vendor records, and automated screening and adjudication workflows.
- Own features throughout their complete lifecycle, including development, testing, code review, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
- Build well-tested experiences across major user and system workflows, maintaining high standards for correctness, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Strong production experience developing business-to-business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
- Solid experience with Go, or equivalent backend development experience involving HTTP services, background workers, and concurrent systems.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills and a solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party systems through technologies such as webhooks, OAuth, and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with server-rendered frontends using technologies such as ERB, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong testing practices and a consistent focus on writing reliable, maintainable, production-ready code.
- Ability to work effectively across both frontend and backend systems and take ownership of technical initiatives from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
- Annual base salary of $155,000–$170,000 USD.
