Sr. Hardware Dev Engineer, Pharmacy Hardware
Summary
Design and develop robotic and hardware systems for Amazon Pharmacy’s fulfillment channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative pharmacy automation to market.
Amazon Pharmacy is bringing technology forward to serve customers in the best ways possible. As part of the Pharmacy Robotics group, you will play a key role in developing 1P Hardware and Robotic systems that deliver differentiated capabilities to our fulfillment channels.

• Conceive, design and develop innovative hardware and controls architectures for new products.
• Contribute to system design, including development of 3D models/assemblies, PLC systems, sensor selection and/or electrical schematics.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team that includes vendors, mechanical/software engineers to develop novel technology.
• Develop business case, application, and theory of operation for engineering systems and document for senior management.
• Drive product definition, development execution and testing. Identify and validate product risks and work with team to mitigate them.
• Specify testing to verify compliance with requirements. Interface with engineering managers, product management and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to commercialization.
• Engage with vendors and technology suppliers to evaluate and select technology applicable to program objectives.
• Be hands-on to bring online new product prototypes, conduct verification testing and performance validation.
• Provide up-to-date, accurate information to colleagues and management. Mentor and coach new engineers and interns.
• Support cost reduction and sustaining activities
