Sr. HR Generalist/ HR Generalist
Summary
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for teammates, managers, applicants and business partners seeking human resources support. The teammate in this role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while addressing a wide range of HR inquiries related to benefits, payroll, teammate records, and HR programs. This teammate assists with initiating teammate concerns, processes HR transactions, ensures compliance with Buckle policies, and contributes to continuous process improvement within the HR Support Center.

Teammate Support and Customer Service
- Utilize strong communication and active listening skills to provide first-level support to teammates and managers to resolve basic teammate relations issues with timely solutions and productive outcomes.
- Respond to inquiries regarding benefits, hiring, payroll, leave administration, and teammate programs.
- Deliver accurate and timely resolutions while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Educate teammates on available HR resources, programs, and self-service tools
Case Management
- Create, document, track, and resolve teammate inquiries within established service level agreements.
- Research teammate concerns and collaborate with internal HR teams to provide solutions.
- Escalate complex teammate relations, policy, compliance, or benefits issues as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case documentation.
HR Operations and Administration
- Process teammate transactions including hires, transfers, and offboardings.
- Assist with processing and review of background check records.
- Maintain teammate data within HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and payroll-related processes.
- Communicate new policies and procedures to all impacted departments and train teammates as needed.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Compliance and Confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Handle sensitive teammate information with the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Maintain compliance with record retention and documentation requirements.
General
Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of HR systems is preferred. Background in Human Resources or previous Buckle retail experience is a plus.
